Research experience
Final Year Project — Photoprotection in Chlorophytes
Quantitative experiments on Non-Photochemical Quenching across engineered Arabidopsis lines. Combined wet-lab techniques (fluorescence imaging, western blotting) with computational structure prediction (AlphaFold, ChimeraX) and statistical analysis in R.
Field Researcher — Tropical Forest Ecology
Collected ecological and photosynthetic data comparing logged and primary forest systems. Statistical analysis (ANOVA, PCA) in R; presented findings to an international research team.
Research Assistant — Cooperative Breeding in Mammals
Independent behavioural research project on Damaraland mole-rat cooperative breeding. Advanced statistical analysis (GLMMs, multivariate) in R; produced a 5,000-word research paper.
